...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM AKDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Prince of Wales Island and Annette Island. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 1 PM AKDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...High winds will blow around unsecured objects and may damage property and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As a storm force low moves north toward the panhandle, wind will increase in the gulf and for land areas near and along the eastern gulf coast. For far southern areas, the strongest winds will diminish through late Wednesday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People are urged to secure vessels and loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.
