Small Craft Advisory
Issued: 6:45 AM Mar. 7, 2026 – National Weather Service
...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and
seas 8 to 11 feet.

* WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated north to northeast swell will
continue to build into the Marianas. Seas have become hazardous to
small craft and will persist through Sunday afternoon as the
northerly swell is reinforced. Seas may briefly decrease Sunday
night before another long-period northerly swell moves into the
region on Monday. Otherwise, this advisory may be extended through
the middle of next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.

High Surf Advisory
Issued: 5:32 AM Mar. 7, 2026 – National Weather Service
...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CHST MONDAY...
...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves between 7 to 11 feet and dangerous
rip currents.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of the Marianas. For
the High Rip Current Risk, north and east facing reefs.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Long-period northerly swell continues to move
through the Marianas, producing hazardous surf and dangerous rip
currents along north-facing reefs through Monday afternoon. A broad
tropical disturbance developing to the southwest of the Marianas
and a shear line across the CNMI will lead to an increase in north
to northeast swell. This will also cause a high risk of rip
currents along east facing reefs through the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against
the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline.
If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
