...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves 7 to 9 feet and dangerous rip
currents.

* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, north facing reefs. For
High Risk of Rip Currents, north and east facing reefs of
the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM ChST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A large northeast trade swell is generating
hazardous surf along north facing reefs and a high risk of rip
currents along north and east facing reefs. The northeast swell
is expected to slowly subside tonight, and may allow surf and
the high risk of rip currents to fall early Wednesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against
the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline.
If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
