...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CHST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Southwest to west winds 15 to 25 kt and seas 8 to 11 feet expected. * WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters. * WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Friday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Fresh to strong westerlies will prevail across the Marianas today, as a westerly monsoon surge continues. Combined seas of 8 to 11 feet are expected today, to then drop a foot and persist as such for several more days, remaining hazardous to small craft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions. &&

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CHST SATURDAY... ...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet and dangerous rip currents expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, along west and north facing reefs. For the High Rip Current Risk, along west, north, and east facing reefs. * WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Dolphin passes Iwo To, the long-period swell direction is expected to continue shifting to the northwest the next day or so. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. &&
