Corrected to to change Tropical Depression to Tropical Storm Krosa. ...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CHST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Southwest 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt, and seas 9 to 11 feet. * WHERE...Guam Coastal Waters. * WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The center of Tropical Storm Krosa continues to move north away from Guam. However, a strong monsoon surge developing behind it will continue to bring winds and seas hazardous to small craft through Saturday night. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions. &&

Dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...South and west facing reefs of the Marianas. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 6 AM ChST Sunday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An unsettled pattern caused by Tropical Depression Krosa (12W) and the monsoon surge in its wake is likely to produce heavy showers and thunderstorms, with a flash flooding risk to the region for at least the next several days.
