...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...East-facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from
shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...East swell is expected to further diminish
slightly through tonight, causing rip risk to briefly fall to
moderate, however, east swell rebuilds again starting Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float.
Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction
following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call
or wave for help.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THURSDAY TO 5 AM CHST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts to 30 kt and seas
7 to 10 feet expected.

* WHERE...Marianas coastal waters.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Thursday to 5 AM ChST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A surge in the trade winds and building
trade swell will produce hazardous winds and seas by Thursday
night. Recent model runs indicate that this is a short duration
event, with winds and seas subsiding below criteria as early as
Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.
