...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Seas 8 to 10 feet. * WHERE...Guam and Rota Coastal Waters. * WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate to strong westerlies prevail across the Marianas as another resurgence in the monsoon builds over the northern CNMI. Combined seas of 8 to 11 feet are expected over the next few days, remaining hazardous to small craft through at least early Tuesday morning. Seas look to fall below hazardous levels for Guam and Rota by midweek as swells and wind waves relax. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions. &&

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CHST THURSDAY... ...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 11 feet and dangerous rip currents expected. * WHERE...Along west and north facing reefs. * WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong monsoon pattern continues to produce hazardous surf and a high risk of rip currents along west and north facing reefs. The High Surf Advisory and High Rip Current Risk may be extended again next week as the monsoon pattern, and associated west to northwest swells, continue. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. &&
