Td32W continues to consolidate and organize as it moves northwest between Yap Proper and Marianas. Some of the showers and thunderstorms associated with TD 32W could result in localized flash flooding, particularly across Guam. As 32W approaches, winds and seas will become more hazardous. The peak is anticipated for Friday sea conditions begin to fall. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CHST FRIDAY... ...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 12 feet in the surf zone and dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...For the Surf, south facing reefs and for the risk of rip currents east and south facing reefs of the Marianas. * WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Friday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Tropical Depression 32W passes southwest of Guam, surf conditions are expected to deteriorate along south facing reefs firsts then east reefs and eventually west reefs. This, coupled with king tides, may produce minor runup along these reefs. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THURSDAY TO 4 PM CHST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. * WHERE...Guam and Rota. * WHEN...From 7 AM Thursday to 4 PM ChST Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tinian and Saipan residents should pay close attention to the upcoming forecasts as these conditions may begin to affect their regions as this system evolves. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution when driving on roads with no center barriers, as well as when passing high profile vehicles. &&

...TD 32W TO MOVE SOUTH OF GUAM THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT... ...HEAVY SHOWERS, GUSTY WINDS, AND CHOPPY SEAS EXPECTED... Overview: Invest 90W is now Tropical Depression 32W, centered near 8N142E. 32W is drifting around to the south-southwest of Guam. Locally heavy showers and thunderstorms are seen with the 32W in an elongated pattern from south of Yap Proper to west of Weno, Chuuk. Winds: Increasingly gusty easterly winds will become southeasterly tonight into Thursday with sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 40 mph possible. Further increases in the wind fields are possible if 32W were to strengthen faster or track further north, closer to the Marianas, though this is not expected at this time. Strongest winds will be seen over Guam, decreasing northward. Tinian and Saipan are not likely to see these winds, though breezy conditions are possible. Rainfall: Periods of heavy rainfall with 4 to 8 inches of accumulation is possible, mainly Late tonight through Friday night. This could lead to an increased risk of mudslides across steeper terrain with possible flooding. Seas: Seas of 5 to 8 feet will increase to 9 to 12 feet Wednesday night as stronger winds move into the area. Conditions will become hazardous to small craft late this evening or tonight. Suggestions: Secure loose items and stay informed and alert of the latest information from the National Weather Service in Guam and your local officials.
