...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 AM CHST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Northeast winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 8 to 11 feet expected. * WHERE...Guam and Rota Coastal Waters. * WHEN...From 6 AM this morning to 6 AM ChST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hazardous winds will develop Sunday morning as a shear line descends southward increasing winds to around 25 kt, with seas also peaking around 10 to 11 feet in response to increased winds and an increase in the northerly swell. Current guidance suggest these conditions will improve Tuesday as the shear line weakens and the northerly swell diminishes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions. &&

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CHST TUESDAY... ...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet and dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...High Surf for north facing reefs of the Marianas. High Risk of Rip Currents for north and east facing reefs. * WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surf has built to around hazardous levels of 9 feet for north facing reefs with dangerous rip currents along north and east facing reefs. Surf is expected to peak around 11 feet today before slowly decreasing through Monday night as the shear line weakens and the northerly swell diminishes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. &&
