High Surf Advisory
Issued: 5:38 PM Feb. 11, 2026 – National Weather Service
...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST THIS
EVENING...
...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet and dangerous rip
currents.

* WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, west and north facing reefs
of the Marianas. For the High Rip Current Risk, west, north, and
east facing reefs.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The northerly swell persists across the
Marianas, along with the trade-wind swell. This will help keep surf
hazardous along west and north facing reefs this morning while also
keeping rip current risk high for east facing reefs. Surf and rip
current risk are expected to fall below hazardous conditions tonight
along all reefs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.

Rip currents will be life threatening. If caught in a rip
current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If
able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
