...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Northeast winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 8 to 11 feet. * WHERE...Chuuk Coastal Waters. * WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated northeast swell will move through the waters as a trade-wind surge increases winds to fresh with locally strong gusts. While seas across the coastal waters will be hazardous to small craft operations, seas in the northern sector are expected to be the highest. Seas are anticipated to begin to subside Tuesday. While seas are expected to take a downward trend, they may remain above the threshold of 10 feet for a day or two. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions. &&

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet. * WHERE...North facing reefs of Chuuk. * WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A trade-wind surge north of the region is building significant northeast swell across the region capable of producing hazardous surf along north facing reefs through at least Wednesday morning. While surf are expected to take a downward trend, they may remain above the threshold of 9 feet for a day or two. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. &&
