...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 20 kt with frequent gusts to 25 kt and seas 8 to 10 feet. * WHERE...Palau and Yap Coastal Waters. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Tropical Storm 06W (Jangmi) continues to develop and move northwestward away from Koror, Palau and Yap Proper, the monsoon tail will keep sea conditions above thresholds of 10 feet and frequent 25 knot wind gusts through this afternoon, mainly along south and west facing reefs. Conditions may begin to improve as early as this evening. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions. &&

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet. * WHERE...South and west facing reefs of Palau and Yap. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Tropical Storm 06W (Jangmi) continues to develop and move northwestward away from Koror, Palau and Yap Proper, the monsoon tail will keep surf conditions above 9 feet through this afternoon along south and west facing reefs. Conditions may begin to improve as early as this evening. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. &&
