...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST MONDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet. * WHERE...North and west facing reefs of Chuuk. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Monday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical Storm Sinlaku is nearly stationary northwest of Weno. Seas and swells will produce large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet across Chuuk through Monday afternoon. As Tropical Storm Sinlaku moves to the northwest, a prolonged westerly swell will remain across Chuuk. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. &&

...TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT... * WHAT...East winds 35 to 45 kt with gusts up to 65 kt and seas 12 to 16 feet. * WHERE...Chuuk Coastal Waters. * WHEN...Through at least Saturday. * IMPACTS...Very strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical Storm Sinlaku continues to slowly move northwestward across northwestern Chuuk State. Impacts from TS Sinlaku will persist over the next day or two as the storm slowly moves away. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A tropical storm warning means sustained winds of 34 to 63 kt or 39 to 73 mph are expected due to a tropical storm within 36 hours. &&
