During Boxing Day it slowly begins to subside from the south.; What happens?: During the Christmas holiday, a deep low pressure will pass north of the country. From the afternoon of Christmas Eve, the westerly wind will increase and become very strong or up to storm force, 22-30 m/s. Locally it may be even windier. At the same time, a lot of rain may occur, or in the northern part snow showers that may be abundant, but the largest amounts of precipitation are expected near the Norwegian border. The wind will increase first in the northern part, but from the night until Christmas Day, winds up to storm are expected even down over the Västerbotten mountains. The wind is expected to continue throughout Christmas Day and then the wind will turn to the northwest. During Boxing Day, the wind will slowly begin to subside, starting in Västerbotten.
