Small Craft Advisory, rough bar conditions expected with seas 10 to 13 ft at 11 to 12 seconds and southwest to west winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas and winds will be highest Monday morning before lowering Monday afternoon. * WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar. * WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft, especially when operating near to, or attempting to cross, the Columbia River Bar. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ebb current of 5.48 kt at 450 PM Monday. Seas 9 ft. Ebb current of 3.94 kt at 507 AM Tuesday. Seas 7 ft. Strong ebb current of 5.63 kt at 523 PM Tuesday. Seas 13 to 16 ft. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Small Craft Advisory means that wave conditions are expected to be hazardous to small craft in the vicinity of the Columbia River Bar. ...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Sneaker waves possible. * WHERE...North and Central Coast of Oregon, and South Washington Coast. * WHEN...From late tonight through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Waves can run up significantly farther on a beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties. Sneaker waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them into the frigid ocean which may lead to serious injury or drowning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A Beach Hazards Statement is issued when sneaker waves create potentially life-threatening conditions in the surf zone. Caution should be used when in or near the water. Always keep an eye on the waves, and be especially watchful of children and pets. Those participating in razor clam digs should exercise caution. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions. &&
