...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM AKST MONDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected, with localized areas of blowing snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Localized areas of visibility as low as one-half mile at times. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Valley East and Kuskokwim Valley West, from Kalskag east to Stony River. * WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow develops this afternoon and continues through Monday before tapering off to snow showers by Monday evening. Stronger winds across the western half of Kuskokwim Valley (near Aniak and Kalskag) may produce blowing snow that could significantly reduce visibility at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous.
