...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Grand River at Urich. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Flooding occurs across locations within 0.5 to 1.5 miles of the river. Areas affected include low lying pastures along with cropland and secondary roads. At 28.0 feet, K Highway is under water approximately 1 mile south of Urich. Many other roads along the river are flooded as well. At 29.5 feet, Flood waters approach 4th Street at Elm Street, and one block west of Green Street. Basement and garage flooding also occurs near 4th and Elm streets. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 27.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.1 feet this evening. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Creek at Blairstown. * WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, the west bank of the creek begins to flood. At 23.0 feet, flooding occurs at the west approach to the N Highway bridge located 0.2 miles west of Blairstown. Flooding also occurs across B Highway near Big Creek which is several miles northwest of Blairstown. At 26.0 feet, many farm levees along Big Creek are overtopped. Flooding of rural areas behind the levees occurs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.1 feet this evening. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following county, Linn and west central Missouri, including the following counties, Bates, Cass, Henry, Jackson and Johnson. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 151 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Numerous roads are closed throughout the warning area. Do not drive into flood waters. Flooding is expected to continue through tonight. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
