...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM AKST MONDAY... * WHAT...Snow and freezing rain expected. Total snow accumulations less than one inch and ice accumulations around two tenths of an inch are possible. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta, Kuskokwim Valley West, and Kuskokwim Valley East. * WHEN...Until 5 AM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Surfaces will likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation may cause power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first of two significant winter storms will move over the region beginning early Sunday morning. Precipitation is expected to start as snow for most locations, with less than one inch of snow possible. Expect snow changing to freezing rain by Sunday afternoon with up to two tenths of an inch of ice possible, especially from Sleetmute to Crooked Creek and across the Kuskokwim Delta coast. Precipitation is expected to taper off Monday morning from Bethel east. A light wintry mix may continue along the Kuskokwim Delta coast Monday morning into Monday afternoon. After reduced chances for precipitation on Monday, a second storm system is expected to move over the region Monday evening through Wednesday. This second storm system has the potential to produce up to three tenths of an inch of ice, across the Kuskokwim Delta. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
