- Possible impacts: Breaking of smaller branches. Toppling of objects inadequately secured or free-standing objects. Increased swell on lakes.
- Recommendations for action: Secure any freestanding objects outdoors or move them to a sheltered spot (e.g. plant pots, garden furniture, bicycles) before the wind event begins. Stay away from forests, trees and tree-lined avenues. Put away or roll up sun blinds and awnings, and close doors and windows. Keep off exposed places such as rooftop areas and rock ledges.

Avoid watercourses in the mountains at all cost, as these are prone to mudslides. A mudslide can occur very suddenly and without warning, and can be a powerful destructive force. Avoid flooded stretches of road and drive around.
