Landslides on steep slopes, sudden flash floods or debris flows in streams, flooding. - Recommendations for action: When planning outdoor activities, take into account any available protections and alternative routes. Avoid bodies of water and areas at risk of lightning strikes, such as mountain ridges, trees, pylons or towers as well as open terrain (e.g. clearings, football pitches). Secure outdoor objects and retract any awnings. Unplug electrical devices to protect against overvoltage. - Warning valid below 800 m a.s.l. - Possible impacts: Significant risk of circulatory problems and physical discomfort. - Recommendations for action: Drink at least 1.5 litres per day, preferably unsweetened and non-alcoholic drinks. Keep your body cool: seek shade and cool rooms, protect yourself with suitable clothing, headgear and sunscreen, shade windows and ventilate your home early in the morning.
