A prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected.

What: Wind chill values ranging from minus 50 to minus 60.

When: Today.

Where: Whitehorse, Teslin, Dawson, Faro - Ross River, Kluane Lake and Haines Junction.

Remarks: An Arctic high over the area will continue to bring clear skies and very cold conditions. Light winds combined with these temperatures will result in extreme wind chill values continuing today.
