Possible freezing rain on Monday.

What: Chance of a prolonged period of freezing rain, possibly accompanied by ice pellets, followed by strong southwesterly winds.

When: from Monday early in the morning until Monday evening.

Additional information:
Consider modifying any non-essential travel plans. Road conditions may become difficult if ice accumulates on the roads. Ice accretion could break tree branches. Conditions may lead to power outages.

This freezing rain and ice pellet event is associated with an intense low pressure system tracking through the Great Lakes area. There is still some uncertainty regarding the duration and expected amounts of freezing precipitation.
