Heavy rain is expected on Saturday.

What:
Heavy rain with total amounts of 30 to 50 millimetres.

When:
Late Saturday morning into Saturday night.

Additional Information:
A second low pressure system is expected to bring significant rainfall to the region on Saturday. For some areas the rain may initially be mixed with freezing rain, especially during Saturday morning into the early afternoon.

Due to the saturated ground and prior rain events the rain on Saturday may cause hazardous conditions due to extreme runoff.

There is a freezing rain warning in effect for areas that will receive significant freezing rain.

What:
Significant freezing rain with ice build-up 4 to 8 mm.

When:
Beginning Saturday morning for areas near Sault Ste. Marie and near noon for Sudbury. Ending Saturday afternoon or evening. 

Additional Information:
The freezing rain will transition to rain, possibly heavy at times, Saturday afternoon or evening. 

There is a rainfall warning in effect for areas that will receive significant rainfall.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery. Icy surfaces could be difficult to detect. Property or tree damage due to the weight of ice is possible. There is risk of injury due to slips and falls.
