An abrupt return to winter is on the way this week, with snow and blowing snow expected.

Snow will start on Tuesday morning and continue through the day. Amounts of 5 to 15 cm are expected by Wednesday, though snow totals will likely vary widely from place to place. 

Blowing snow is also expected on Tuesday over open areas, including Highways 1 and 3. Visibility will likely be poor.

Allow extra time for travel.
