Possible snow over higher elevations Where: - Metro Vancouver - Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford and Mission - Howe Sound - Sunshine Coast When: Now into tonight. Remark: A low pressure system originating from Alaska is pushing into the South Coast. Local areas of heavier precipitation are expected later this afternoon and into tonight. Snow levels will generally hover around 300 - 400 meters. However, in areas of heavier precipitation snow levels will be lower. The Sunshine Coast, Howe Sound, Metro Vancouver, and the western Fraser Valley, could see accumulations over higher terrain of 2 to 5 cm. Check your local forecast for more information. Be prepared for rapidly changing travel conditions. Motorists should be prepared for sudden reductions in visibility and slippery surfaces. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
