Significant freezing rain continues tonight.

What:  
Freezing rain leading to icy surfaces.
Ice accretion or build-up of 5 to 15 mm on some surfaces.  

When:  
Continuing tonight and ending early Monday morning.

Freezing rain will continue tonight. The freezing rain may briefly change over to rain Monday morning as temperatures are expected to climb to just above the freezing mark.

Roads and walkways may become icy and slippery. Prolonged utility outages are possible. Significant damage to property, including some buildings and trees, is possible due to the weight of ice.

Strong southwesterly wind gusts of 80 to 90 km/h, except up to 100 km/h near Lake Ontario.

When:
Beginning Monday morning and easing Monday evening.

Strong southwesterly winds are expected to develop Monday morning 
with the passage of a strong cold front. The winds will become northwesterly through the afternoon. The winds will ease through Monday evening. The strongest wind gusts are expected near Lake Ontario Monday afternoon.
