Freezing rain amounts: 2 to 4 mm.

Time span:  overnight tonight until early Saturday morning.

Remarks: Snow and ice pellets have changed to freezing rain and will persist for several more hours overnight into Saturday morning.  Precipitation will change briefly to snow before ending Saturday morning.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery. Icy surfaces could be difficult to detect.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
