Special Weather Statement
Issued: 10:15 PM Dec. 26, 2025 – Environment and Climate Change Canada
Freezing rain possible on Monday.

What: Risk of prolonged freezing rain, possibly accompanied by ice pellets.

When: Beginning overnight Sunday night and ending Monday late in the day.

Where: Témiscamingue, Outaouais, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Greater Montreal, Montérégie and southern Eastern Townships.

Additional information:
Consider modifying any non-essential travel plans. Travel conditions may become difficult if ice builds up on the roads. Ice accretion could cause tree branches to break. Conditions may be conducive to power outages.

This freezing rain and ice pellet event is associated with the passage of an intense low pressure system through the Great Lakes region. There is still uncertainty about the duration and expected amount of freezing precipitation.
