Late this afternoon and this evening, conditions will be favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain. Hail of 1 to 2 centimetres is also possible. Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water. ### Local utility outages are possible. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
