Severe Thunderstorm Watch

Tonight and early overnight, conditions will be favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Some of these thunderstorms could produce a tornado. Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water. Strong gusts can damage trees or buildings. ### Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
