Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain.

When: This afternoon and evening.

Where:
The B.C. Peace River and Fort Nelson regions.

Additional information: Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and move northward through this evening. Local rainfall of 15 to 25 mm in an hour is possible.

Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
