Significant snowfall is expected. Locations: eastern and southeastern Newfoundland. Potential snowfall: near 15 cm. Potential wind gusts: easterly 40 to 60 km/h. Time span: Saturday evening until Sunday morning. Remarks: A developing low pressure system is expected to bring a period of accumulating snowfall and blowing snow. The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur early Sunday morning. There is some uncertainty as to where the heaviest snowfall will occur, but the potential exists for significant accumulations over some locations. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Yellow Warning - Wind

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected. Locations: northeastern and eastern Newfoundland. Maximum wind gusts: westerly 100 km/h. Time span: this evening and overnight. Remarks: A period of strong winds is expected to occur on the backside of a departing storm system. The strongest winds are likely to occur along the coast. The strong winds will be accompanied by flurries this evening, reducing visibility at times. ### Disruptions to services and travel are possible.
