Today and this evening, conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that can produce gusty winds causing damage, large hail and torrential rain.   Some of these thunderstorms are likely to generate a tornado.

Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water.

Strong gusts can damage trees and buildings.  Local power outages are possible.

Heavy rains can cause flash floods and cause flooding. Please exercise caution around waterways in case of heavy rain.

Hail can cause significant damage.
