Intermediate update for Post-Tropical cyclone Erin. The next full information statement will be issued by 9:00 a.m. ADT. Post-Tropical cyclone Erin passing well south of Newfoundland, bringing storm to hurricane force winds to the southern Grand Banks. 1. Summary of basic information at 6:00 a.m. ADT. Location: Near 41.9 North 52.5 West. About 530 kilometres south of Cape Race NL. Maximum sustained winds: 139 kilometres per hour. Present movement: east-northeast at 59 kilometres per hour. Minimum central pressure: 962 millibars. 2. Summary of latest information. The center of Post-Tropical storm Erin will track south of the Grand Banks today. Dangerous surf conditions and local rip currents will continue to affect the Atlantic coastlines of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland today.
