Special Weather Statement
Issued: 2:08 PM May. 3, 2026 – Environment and Climate Change Canada
Rainfall and strong winds are expected today. Locations: southern and parts of eastern New Brunswick. Potential rainfall: 25 to 40 mm, possibly higher. Potential wind gusts: northerly 60 km/h along the coast. Time span: today and tonight. Remarks: An approaching weather system forecast to track over eastern Nova Scotia tonight is expected to bring another period of rainfall and gusty winds to parts of southern New Brunswick. There is some uncertainty as to where the highest rainfall amounts will occur, but the potential exists for significant totals over some locations near the Fundy coast. Wet snow may mix in at times over some higher elevations tonight. Clear storm drains and gutters of leaves and other debris in advance of the rainfall. Secure outdoor items such as patio sets, umbrellas, and garbage bins so they don’t blow around in strong winds. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
