 Issued: 2:42 PM Nov. 4, 2025 – Environment and Climate Change Canada 
Rain and strong winds expected today and tonight. Locations: eastern Nova Scotia. Total rainfall: 30 to 75 mm. Maximum wind gusts: northwest 70 to 90 km/h. Time span: continuing until Wednesday. Remarks: A low pressure system southeast of Nova Scotia will rapidly intensify today as it tracks northeastward towards Newfoundland. Rain at times heavy will taper to showers later today except over western Cape Breton where rain will likely persist into this evening. Strong northwesterly winds will increase behind the low this evening and persist into Wednesday. Additionally, large waves, pounding surf and elevated sea water levels are expected, especially along north and western facing coastlines with the high tides this evening and on Wednesday. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
