Issued: 4:20 PM Apr. 5, 2026 – Environment and Climate Change Canada
Moderate to heavy snowfall is expected.

When:
Monday evening through late Tuesday morning, with higher snowfall in the evening.

Where:
Highway 97 - Pine Pass and B.C. Peace River.

Hazards:
- Sudden reductions in visibility during heavy snowfall.
- Rapidly changing travel conditions.
- Rapid snow accumulation can make travel difficult.
- Local blowing snow further reducing visibility.

Remarks:
A frontal system crossing northern B.C. on Monday will bring heavy snow to the region. Precipitation may begin as rain earlier in the day before transitioning to snow as the cold front passes on Monday evening. Driving conditions and visibilities will deteriorate quickly with the passage of the cold front as snowfall rates are expected to peak with up to 4 cm per hour.

Snow will continue into Tuesday as the system moves out of the region.
