A period of hot weather continues Time span: tonight through Tuesday. Maximum daytime temperatures: 28 to 31 degrees Celsius. Minimum nighttime temperatures: 16 to 19 degrees Celsius except cooler in low lying areas and most of central Newfoundland tonight only. Locations: central and northeastern Newfoundland including Clarenville and vicinity and Bonavista Peninsula. Remarks: Slightly cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast. Additionally, most of central Newfoundland will see cooler overnight low temperatures tonight but won't get the same reprieve Monday night. ### Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
