Winter storm expected to begin the new year.

What: Snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres, strong winds and blowing snow.

When: This evening until Friday evening.

Where: The Gaspé Peninsula and the eastern Lower St. Lawrence.

Another rapidly intensifying winter storm will gradually affect the Gaspé Peninsula beginning this afternoon. It will be accompanied by strong winds and blowing snow, which will significantly reduce visibilities.
