Winter storm expected to begin the new year. What: Snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres, strong winds and blowing snow. When: This evening until Friday evening. Where: The Gaspé Peninsula and the eastern Lower St. Lawrence. Additional information: Another rapidly intensifying winter storm will gradually affect the Gaspé Peninsula beginning this afternoon. It will be accompanied by strong winds and blowing snow, which will significantly reduce visibilities. ### Travel will likely be challenging.
