Rapidly falling temperatures Friday. What: Rapidly falling temperatures resulting in surfaces becoming icy and slippery. When: Late Friday morning through Friday afternoon. Additional information: Rain will change over to flurries from west to east late Friday morning as temperatures rapidly fall below the freezing mark. This will be the result of a strong cold front passing through the area. Flurries and snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are also expected behind the front. Roads and walkways may become icy and slippery. Travel may become difficult at times. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Rainfall, combined with melting snow, is expected. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall. What: Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm. When: Tonight through Friday morning. Additional information: Rain will affect the area beginning tonight before changing over to flurries late Friday morning into Friday afternoon as temperatures rapidly fall below the freezing mark.
