Brief, intense snowfall is expected to develop. Under the snow squall, visibility will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.

Zero visibility possible on the roads.

What: Possibility of very heavy flurries with strong winds and blowing snow giving zero visibilities.

When: today

Additional information:
A cold front will move across the province today. As this front passes, snow squalls may develop and suddenly reduce visibilities to zero. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 centimetres are possible.

In addition, a sudden drop in temperatures is expected following the passage of this front. Roads may become icy and slippery.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.

Snow squall watches are issued when localized, intense snowfall causing rapid accumulation and/or reduced visibility is possible.
