What: northerly winds possibly gusting to more than 100 kilometres per hour and possibly producing blowing snow.

When: from Thursday, December 25 in the evening until noon on Friday.

Additional information:
An intense low pressure system will affect Newfoundland and Labrador on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.   If you have any travel plans, expect visibilities that may be reduced to near zero and changing road conditions. Please put away or secure any objects that the wind could damage or toss.

In addition, a second low pressure system could follow the same trajectory on Saturday and cause high winds to return.
