Locations: southern New Brunswick.

Total rainfall: 30 to 50 mm.

Time span: continuing until early Saturday morning.

Remarks: Rain and very mild temperatures will lead to melting snow and minor runoff.

Ensure storm drains and gutters are clear of ice and debris to reduce risk of  localized ponding/flooding.

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected.

Locations: southern and south-central New Brunswick.

Wind gusts: southerly 70 to 90 km/h, except gusts to 110 km/h along the Fundy coast.

Time span: late this afternoon until early Saturday morning.

Remarks: Very strong southerly winds are forecast tonight. These winds will switch to the west on Saturday, before gradually easing.

Strong winds may cause tree branches to break.

Local utility outages are possible. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind. Disruptions to services and travel are possible.
