Strong winds expected today into tonight. What: Strong northwesterly and southwesterly wind gusts up 70 km/h. When: Beginning later this morning and easing tonight. Additional information. Southwesterly winds are expected to develop this morning with the passage of a strong cold front. The winds will become northwesterly through the afternoon. The winds will ease tonight. Significant ice build-up from freezing rain is expected to lead to more impacts from these winds. Utility outages are possible. Ice storm continues tonight into early Monday morning. What: Freezing rain leading to icy surfaces. Ice accretion or build-up of 15 to 20 mm on some surfaces. When: Tonight into Monday morning. Additional information: Freezing rain will continue tonight. The freezing rain may briefly change over to rain Monday morning as temperatures are expected to climb to just above the freezing mark. ### Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery.
