Issued: 9:46 AM Dec. 29, 2025 – Environment and Climate Change Canada

When: This afternoon easing to scattered flurries Tuesday afternoon. Additional information: An initial brief, intense snow squall is expected this afternoon along a cold front. A quick 5 cm of snow is expected from this snow squall as well as a rapid temperature drop, leading to icy surfaces. A colder air mass in the wake of a departing low pressure system will result in the development of lake effect snow squalls off Georgian Bay. Blowing snow and poor visibility will be the primary concern as strong northwesterly wind gusts are expected. ### Travel may be hazardous. Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
