Temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius combined with overnight lows near 16 degrees Celsius are expected for more than 5 days.

An extended period of very warm to hot weather is expected.

Time span: today through to the middle of next week.

Maximum daytime temperatures: near 30 degrees Celsius, except cooler along parts of the coast.

Minimum overnight temperatures: near 16 degrees Celsius.

Locations: northern Avalon Peninsula and northeastern Newfoundland. 

Remarks: A very warm air mass will settle over the region for the next few days. Little relief is expected at night with elevated overnight temperatures. Current guidance indicates conditions will not begin moderating until the middle of next week.
