Significant rainfall is expected.

Locations: Southern and northeastern New Brunswick.

Total rainfall amounts: 30 to 50 mm.

Time span: Today until Saturday evening for some regions.

Remarks: A developing and slow-moving weather system is expected to bring a prolonged period of rainfall. Tropical moisture may contribute to sustained, heavy downpours. Rainfall rates of 10 mm per hour may occur over some locations. Thunderstorms may develop over some areas, producing locally heavier rainfall. 

At this time, the heaviest amounts are expected over southeastern regions of the province, although isolated areas of the southwest and northeast may approach 50 mm rainfall totals.

Water pooling on roads may make travel more difficult in some areas.

Consider adjusting travel plans to avoid the most adverse conditions.
