Wind chills near minus 40 are expected beginning tonight.

These wind chill values will be at their coldest during the overnight and morning hours with some moderation expected during the afternoon.

This cold event will continue into the weekend.

Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.
