Yellow Advisory - Blowing Snow

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations. Another Alberta Clipper will give snow, blowing snow and gusty winds to parts of Saskatchewan on Thursday night into Friday. What: Reduced visibilities in blowing snow. Timing: Overnight tonight into Friday. Total snowfall: 5 to 12 cm, with higher amounts over the northern Grainbelt and eastern regions. Wind gusts: southerly gusts as high as 60-70 km/h on Friday morning; westerly gusts as high as 70-80 km/h on Friday afternoon and evening. There will also be a risk of freezing rain over southwestern Saskatchewan. ### Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility. Road closures are possible. Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
