Rainfall Warning

Rain, at times heavy, is expected. Total rainfall amounts will range between 50 and 100 mm, however, some areas could see upwards of 150 mm. Showers will begin tonight then develop into an area of heavy rain on Friday. Rain will begin to taper off Saturday evening. Over mountainous terrain, rain is expected to change to snow. The snow will be very wet and heavy, and accumulations will be highly variable. On Saturday, upwards of 10 to 20 cm of snow is possible over the highest elevations, such as Highwood Pass. ### Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
